This Treaty shall-
- upon signature be subject to ratification in order to enable the Parties to comply with their respective constitutional requirements and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of instruments of ratification by the Parties;
- supersede any previous agreement between the Parties relating to the utilisation and development of water resources of common interest to the Parties, to the extent that the provisions of such agreement are in conflict with this Treaty; and
- terminate 12 months after the date of a written notice of denunciation has been given by one Party to the other.
