Team Building

Staff / Management Relationship Building

Staff Morale plays a pivotal role in ensuring that staff is productive at work.

As such the Organisation makes an effort to continuously improve internal relationships through team-building exercises with all staff and management. The aim is to create an objective environment to determine what is good and bad in the working relationship, and how it can be improved.

The outcome of one of the team-building sessions was a creation of a relationship building continuity team, (RBCT) comprising of all representatives of each department, and chaired by a Manager, the team being: * Collin Zwane * Sibonangaye Mkhathswa * Gerald Dube * Khethiwe Ngcobo * Siphiwe Shongwe

It is envisaged that the creation of such a team would assist and enhance a rapport between staff and management, and as such motivated employees.

KOBWA staff at Whiteriver for their team building session

The KOBWA staff went for a retreat at Greenway Wood Resorts in Whiteriver. The Teambuilding exercise was held from the 6-7 November 2014. Mr. Mohammed from Whiteriver facilitated a series of games and Staff Members were split into four groups namely the Tigers, Lions, Bulls and the Crocodiles. These groups engaged each other in; an egg race and a tug-of-war game. Overall, the Bulls got first position as they consistently performed well in all of the games. The mood was a relaxed and cheerful one and the exercise concluded with Staff visiting the local town and also interacting though friendly chats and banter.
