Ministers Tour KOBWA's Driekoppies Dam and Associated Projects
Minister for Public Works, Housing and Water Resources in Mozambique, Carlos Alberto Fortes Mesquita (L) and the Department of Water and Sanitation Director General, Sean Phillips (R) representing Minister for Water and Sanitation, Senzo Mchunu at KOBWA's Driekoppies Dam during their tour to the dam and associated projects.

The Honourable Minister of Water and Sanitation in South Africa, Senzo Mchunu, hosted Mozambique's Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Honourable Carlos Alberto Fortes Mesquita at the Driekoppies Dam in Mpumalanga managed by KOBWA. Minister Mchunu was represented by the Department of Water & Sanitation Director General, Sean Phillips.

The Ministers and their delegations' tour was part of their program to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation on the management of shared water resources between South Africa & Mozambique.

The delegations will round off their tour by engaging in discussions which will culminate in the signing of a joint statement of cooperation on 25 November 2022.

Minister Carlos Alberto Fortes Mesquita had visited KOBWA in Maguga Dam, Eswatini on 4 November 2022 in the company of the Acting Honourable Minister for Natural Resources and Energy Eswatini, Jabulani Mabuza in similar context.
