KOBWA Management, Nginamadvolo Primary School Committee, Nginamadvolo Commuity Leadership and Nginamadvolo Primary School students after the official handover of the ablution facilities.
The Komati Basin Water Authority (KOBWA), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, recently handed over newly constructed sanitation facilities to two schools: Little Royal Preschool in Jeppes Reef, Mpumalanga, South Africa, and Nginamadvolo Primary School in Hhohho, Eswatini.
At Little Royal Preschool, the infrastructure valued at approximately R/E390,000 includes a septic system, two 5,000-litre water tanks, and a sturdy tank stand. Meanwhile, Nginamadvolo Primary School received a water tank and stand, with the project costing around R/E330,000. Together, these upgrades will serve more than 220 students, significantly improving hygiene and access to clean water.

In addition, KOBWA extended its support to the Schoemansdal Community Police Forum by donating safety gear and equipment worth R/E35,000. The contribution featured 25 units each of reflective jackets, torches, whistles, shamboks, and handcuffs—resources aimed at strengthening local security efforts.

Speaking at the handover events held on 15 September at Little Royal Preschool and 16 September 2025 at Nginamadvolo Primary School, KOBWA CEO Mr. Trevor Shongwe underscored the organization's commitment to addressing community challenges. He described the investment as one that looks ahead, affirming the importance of providing children with safe and supportive learning environments.
Mr. Shongwe emphasized that these efforts go beyond water management, reflecting KOBWA’s broader mission to uplift communities and promote human dignity. “Sanitation is a basic human right,” he noted, “and essential for health, education, and self-respect. Children thrive when their fundamental needs are met.”
